At the heart of the HEADlite HP-A is the multi-award winning Alessandro MS1i, as all of its GRADO siblings it is an open backed, low resonant headphone with unrivalled performance that's respected by recording artists and audiophiles alike worldwide.
The goal for the HP-A HEADlite was to create a product that immeasurably enhances the original performance of the MS1i in terms of acoustics, looks, weight and desirability.
Using a unique combination of manufacturing and materials sourced directly from the Aeronautical and Formula 1 worlds, the HEADlite excels in performance.
We believe comfort is vital to listening pleasure, whether that is for a brief or extended listening session. its not just the contact areas that we attempted to improve in comfort but also the overall weight of the headphone and its connection to the source (cable) that we focused on.
Our dual pads softly encompass the outer limits of the ear while the traditional foam inner pads add the delicate suspension directly to the ear, in seconds they are invisible in feel. In addition we have recently offered cooling over-ear pads, the latest in material technology allows a cooling effect to the contact areas, a unique feel but the same sonic capability.
The Alcantara headband whilst being incredibly hard-wearing as a material and has a feel familiar to any sports car enthusiast its cores work primarily to softly form to the wearer but then resist any movement with the semi-rigid layer.
The HEADlite retains the original Alessandro/GRADO cable, it would be easy to factor our own solution from the many in the marketplace however the original cable, its feel and durability is something we felt suited our entry level product.
*2.5mm gold connections can be ordered on request for use with the clients choice of cabling at no additional charge.
